About this program

Participants This program is for adults and seniors, 19 years & up, who are Two-Spirit, Queer or Trans people who are Black, Indigenous, People of Colour (2SQT IBPOC). People 19+ outside that description are welcome if they are anchoring the attendance of a 2SQT IBPOC participant. Bring a project that you are able to work on without instruction, as the facilitator may not be familiar with your craft. Program Overview Connect and socialize with other members of the 2SQT IBPOC community while you work on your own project in a shared space. Program Leader This session is facilitated by a member of the Queer Inclusion Program Assistant team. If an IBPOC staff person is unavailable, another staff will set up the program space and then be on call if any assistance is needed. Plan Ahead Bring the tools and supplies you need for your project. Do not bring any glitter, sprays, or things that spatter or stain. No scented projects or processes, please. Queer Inclusion's craft bin has some basic supplies in case you forget something! Our space will have bright overhead lighting, tables, chairs, and a power outlet to share. Ground floor washrooms are binary with "gender diverse people welcome" signage. A single-user washroom is available near the library entrance. Ground floor access is level, no stairs. Note that undergroud parking does not have automated door openers to the elevator, limited street parking is available nearby. Program Specifics This program is monthly on a Tuesdayy, usually the last Tuesday each month. at 7:15-8:45 PM in the Art Room on the ground floor..
