About this program

Participants This program is for Preteens (10-13years) who are Two Spirit, Trans, and Gender Diverse people (2STGD). Gender creative, non binary, questioning gender non conforming.. All those labels work too! No experience required, all are welcome. Program Overview Apr 2-30 (5 weeks) - Dungeons & Dragons May 7-28 (4 weeks) - Other games June 4-25 (4 weeks) - Other games To allow as many youth as possible to participate and make new friends, please register in only one of the sessions at a time. If spaces remain available as one session ends, you can register for the next session. If a session is full, please join the waitlist and we will contact you if we are able to expand the capacity. Program Description & Leader for Apr 2-30: D&D Participants will create characters, learn how to play the game, and make new friends through action and roleplay! D&D campaigns will be led by Wake Cook-Kero (he/they), a member of the Queer Inclusion team who is also an experienced transmasc Dungeon Master. Program Description & Leader for May and June: Other games Join Queer Inclusion staff and other participants for some fun table top gameplay, featuring Uno, Banana Grams, Sushi Go and more! The non-D&D game sessions will be led by another member of the Queer Inclusion team, at a separate table in the same room while older teens are playing D&D with Wake for set 2 and 3. Plan Ahead Personal belongings can be brought inside the room. Do not bring anything scented (body products, clothing with residue from scented laundry products) Our space will have bright overhead lighting, plus natural lighting from window, tables, chairs, and a power outlet to share. Second floor washrooms are binary with "gender diverse people welcome" signage, and a single-user washroom is available between the binary washrooms, Second floor is accessed by stairs or elevator. Program Specifics This program is weekly on Thursdays at 6:30-7:45 PM in a multipurpose room on the 2nd floor.. This program is located in central Vancouver. Exact location details are shared with parents or caregivers supporting 2STGD children, please email 2STGD@vancouver.ca with a couple words about their gender identity.
