About this program
An excellent second course for those looking to spend more time at the forge! Students take a scrap railroad spike and forge it into a decorative letter opener using the techniques of fullering, tapering, flattening and hot filing. Steel-toed boots are recommended. This Level 2 workshop is considered an intermediate blacksmithing course. Successful completion of the course fulfills the prerequisite for taking BVM's Level 3 courses.
