About this program

For acoustic guitar, mandolin, banjo, fiddle, bass, dobro, and ukulele. All levels welcome. Participants should be able to play basic chords or simple melodies. This is a volunteer-led community Bluegrass jam session, not an instructional class. Participants can enjoy bluegrass in the traditional way: learning songs by ear, singing, listening, and playing together in a welcoming and supportive environment. A great opportunity to practice your instrument, enjoy traditional bluegrass songs, sing lead and harmony, and meet fellow musicians. Come and join us to gain confidence playing and singing with others, learn jam etiquette, and find jamming partners. Occasional guest singers and instrumentalists may join us to expand our repertoire. Drop-in $12 . While all levels are welcome, this jam is especially intended for beginner and intermediate players, including those who are new to Bluegrass or playing in a group. Whether you prefer to sing along, play rhythm, or try a solo, you'll be encouraged to participate at your own comfort level in a friendly, supportive, and welcoming environment where the emphasis is on making music together and having fun.
