About this program

Bronze Medallion challenges the candidate both mentally and physically. Judgment, knowledge, skill and fitness – the four components of water rescue – form the basis of Bronze Medallion training. Candidates acquire the assessment and problem-solving skills needed to make good decisions in, on and around the water. Bronze Medallion is a requirement for Assistant Lifeguard training in Bronze Cross. Prerequisite(s) - 13yrs+ or Bronze Star completion. Candidates will be required to pass the endurance challenge of 400m in 12mins by the end of the course. *Please note additional fees will be added at your time of purchase for the candidate fee and manual. A Pocket Mask is a required piece of equipment for this course (purchasable at the front desk of Sungod Recreation Centre, Ladner Leisure Centre, or Winskill Aquatic & Fitness Centre). Refund Policy: Withdrawal required one week in advance of course start date to receive a refund. If less than one week’s notice is given, no refund will be provided.
