About this program

LEARN to CODE , using SCRATCH, scratch.mit.edu for ages 7 and up and SCRATCH Jr., using the App, for ages 5 - 7. Both coding programs were created by the Life Long Kindergarten group, part of the MIT Media Lab, Boston. Both programs help young people to think creatively, reason systematically, and work collaboratively- essential skills for life in the 21st century. iPads will be supplied. A new App, developed by MIT, Life Long Kindergarten, called OctoStudio will be introduced, time permitting. As well, participants will use the application SCRATCH to program LEGO® Robotics. Please note that there will be no class the following dates: Saturday, Oct. 10 and 17
