About this program

Shadbolt Centre's community dance company is for the adult modern dancer who is looking to continue to dance or 'get back' to dance. Classes and process focus on dance as an art form where dancers are encouraged to dance from a conceptual approach. Release-based contemporary techniques and improvisation are integrated into class to support dancing with intention and personal expression in a supportive and non-competitive environment. Dancers interested in joining must have at least three to four years of previous experience in modern dance and be able to level change with ease. Please note these classes takes place on Tuesdays and Thursdays, all other dates listed are rehearsal and performance days and are subject to change. Costume and performance fees included.
