About this program

Registration opens each Friday at 4:30pm for the following Monday, and online registration closes 2 hrs before the session. Any available spots are open for drop-ins. Participants This program is for Children 7-12 years, who are Two Spirit, Trans, and Gender Diverse people (2STGD). Gender creative, non binary, questioning gender non conforming.. All those labels work too! No experience required, all are welcome. Program Overview Get Creative! provides a safe space for Two Spirit, Trans, and Gender Diverse (2STGD) children to connect and create! Join us for this special edition of Get Creative, with a crafting focus on Pride accessories and traditional community signaling, self-identity collaging, and learning some Two Spirit*, trans and queer history as we make posters about our favourite icons! Program Leader Classes will be led by Queer Inclusion staff with lived experience as a member of the 2STGD community. Plan Ahead Personal belongings can be brought inside the room. Do not bring anything scented (body products, clothing with residue from scented laundry products) Our space will have bright overhead lighting, plus natural lighting from window, tables, chairs, and a power outlet to share. First floor washrooms are binary with "gender diverse people welcome" signage, and a single-user washroom is available on the second floor beside the binary washrooms, accessed by stairs (or elevator with cashier's assistance.) Program Specifics This program is weekly on Mondays at 4:30-6:00 PM in a multipurpose room on the 1st floor. NOTE: new location for summer, email for details. This program is located in central Vancouver. Exact location details are shared with parents or caregivers supporting 2STGD children, please email 2STGD@vancouver.ca with a couple words about their gender identity. Their identity information will only be seen by Queer Inclusion staff and will not be shared. Free For more information about this program, email 2STGD@vancouver.ca
