About this program

GRADINA, School of Traditional Balkan Dancing. Founded in 1979, Gradina is dedicated to preserving, learning, and sharing the authentic village dances and traditions of the Balkans. Our repertoire brings together dances from across the region - including Serbia, Macedonia, Greece, Bulgaria, Bosnia, Croatia, and beyond. We teach kolos, oros, horos , and many other traditional dances in a welcoming, inclusive, and supportive environment. Whether you are completely new to folk dancing or an experienced dancer, everyone is welcome. Igranka [ǐɡraŋka] is a word found in several South Slavic languages, and refers to a lively social gathering where dancing is at the heart of the celebration. At Gradina, everyone is invited to our igranka ! Drop-in $7.50+tax.
