About this program
Join the Fourth Annual Hope and Health Community Camp in honor of Truth and Reconciliation Week. This event, leading up to National Truth and Reconciliation and Orange Shirt Day, is hosted by the City of Burnaby in partnership with the Hope and Health Society. This one-day soccer camp features cultural teachings, training sessions with coaches, mentors, and traditional knowledge keepers. It's an opportunity to engage children and youth, ages 3-18, in our community on the path to reconciliation. Enjoy arts, crafts, face painting, and bouncy castles. Every participant receives a free jersey and soccer ball. This event is not drop-in; participants should arrive at Field #1 by 9:45 am to sign in. Bring your water bottle and dress for the weather. Lunch will be provided for registered participants at 12:45 pm after the closing ceremony. Please ensure you have a current email address on the registered participant's account and withdraw if you cannot attend to free up space for another participant on the waitlist. Parking is limited; we encourage arriving by public transit or car pooling.
