About this program

The Learning Buddies Network is an organization that provides free one-on-one mentoring in reading and math for children in Grades 1–7 who would benefit from extra support. Students gain confidence and improve their skills by working consistently with their own dedicated tutor. All mentors are high school or post-secondary students who are trained and supervised by teachers and/or program supervisors to ensure a positive and effective learning experience. Our commitment is to have a mentor present at every session, ready to work with your child. In return, we will be providing a youth tutor orientation on both June 15 and 22. Our mentors will be provided an in depth over view of what is expected for them when they are mentoring these young minds.
