About this program

The Learning Buddies Network is an organization that provides free one-on-one mentoring in reading and math for children in Grades 1–7 who would benefit from extra support. Students gain confidence and improve their skills by working consistently with their own dedicated tutor. All mentors are high school or post-secondary students who are trained and supervised by teachers and/or program supervisors to ensure a positive and effective learning experience. Our commitment is to have a mentor present at every session, ready to work with your child. In return, we ask for a strong commitment from parents/guardians to ensure their child attends each session regularly. ** No Class on August 3rd If your child is unable to attend a session, please notify the Community Centre by calling 604-718-6575 at least 24 hours in advance.
