About this program

For age adult, 16+ Bring your own daf or other drum or percussions to participate. There is a limited number of daf drums available for those who do not have their own. The drums are also available for rental or purchase at 604-657-8170 or inquire in the class. Led by Master daf instructor, Mohammad Anoush, join the Persian drumming Circle (Daf) for recreational music and structured ensemble emphasizing on collaboration and rhythm as well as creating the sense of community in the circle. Daf (instrument) is an Iranian and Middle Eastern type of drum. This instrument is known for a rich, resident sound, and it is used in various musical styles, including classical folk and Soufi music.
