About this program

Young performers will be guided through the history, styles and techniques of musical theatre creating dances, short scenes and learning songs. The Senior class contains more complex movements while singing and a variety of more challenging song choices. Musical theatre experience is recommended. This program is directed towards assembling a musical revue style performance for the public in our theatre, with professional lighting, sound and staging. Classes culminate in a performance at The Shadbolt Centre for the Arts. Instructor: Jenny Nguyen. Extra fees for rehearsal/recital ($15.00) and costume ($30.00). To give long-term arts students ample time to determine if a long-term program is right for them, students can attend 4 classes before a yearlong commitment is required. If you withdraw during this period, you will be charged only for each class you attend without being charged the City of Burnaby refund fee of 10%. Withdrawals/refunds are not permitted after the start of the 5th class of a long-term program.
