This workshop will introduce the fundamentals of backyard naturalization and prepare you to transform your yard into a thriving, climate friendly landscape. You will learn practical strategies for converting lawns into native habitats, picking the right plants to create resilient and low maintenance gardens, and where to source materials in the Burnaby area. We will cover the basics of soil health, site preparation and finish with a hands-on planning activity to help you create a naturalization plan for your own garden.
