About this program

Students are introduced to the piano keyboard and musical notation mostly through group musical activities with limited individual instruction on the piano. A piano or keyboard is required at home for daily practicing. Instructor: Lana Djordan. The following three books must be purchased: 1. Faber & Faber: Piano Adventures, Lesson Book, Primer Level (2nd Edition) (purple) 2. Beanstalk's Basics for Piano, Theory Book, Preparatory Level A (green). 3. Beanstalk's Basics for Piano, Theory Book, Preparatory Level B (blue) *Can be purchased at the following stores: Long & McQuade Music or Tom Lee Music. - Prorated Fees: Class fees will be adjusted based on the date of enrollment, beginning with the first scheduled class attended. - Make-Up Lessons & Credits: Make-up classes or account credits are only issued in the event of instructor absence or an unexpected facility closure. Unfortunately, we are unable to offer make-up sessions or credits for student absences. To give long-term arts students ample time to determine if a long-term program is right for them, students can attend 4 classes before a yearlong commitment is required. If you withdraw during this period, you will be charged only for each class you attend without being charged the City of Burnaby refund fee of 10%. Withdrawals/refunds are not permitted after the start of the 5th class of a long-term program. Payment plan option (via credit card payments) available: 50% of payment due at time of registration, 25% due on Dec 15, and 25% due on Mar 15.
