About this program
Please register in only one month at a time. If space remains available at the end of the session, you are welcome to register in the next month. Participants This program is for adults and seniors, 19 years & up, who are Two Spirit, Lesbian, Gay, Bi/Pan, Trans, Queer or Questioning, Intersex, Agender + other orientation and gender identities (2SLGBQIA+). People 19+ outside that description are welcome if they are anchoring the attendance of a 2SLGBQIA+ participant. Bring a project that you are able to work on without instruction, as the facilitator may not be familiar with your craft. Program Overview Connect and socialize with other members of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community while you work on your own project in a shared space. Program Leader This session is facilitated by a member of the Queer Inclusion Program Assistant team. Plan Ahead Bring the tools and supplies you need for your project. Do not bring any glitter, sprays, or things that spatter or stain. No scented projects or processes, please. Queer Inclusion's craft bin has some basic supplies in case you forget something! Our space will have bright overhead lighting, plus natural lighting from window, tables, chairs, and a power outlet to share. Ground floor washrooms are binary with "gender diverse people welcome" signage. A single-user washroom is available in the rink lobby. Second floor is accessed by stairs or elevator, accessible parking spots are at ground level with ramp or stair access into the building. Program Specifics This program is weekly on Tuesdays at 1-3 PM in the Maple Room. (ending time updated May 5) Trout Lake Community Centre Free Registration is not required, but it allows us to contact you in the event of a last-minute cancellation. In the event that more people arrive than the room capacity allows, registered participants will have priority over drop-ins and be seated as first-come, first-served if we are unable to shift to a larger space.
