About this program
Ple ase register in only one month at a time. If space remains available at the end of a session, you are welcome to register in the following month. Participants This program is for children, teens, adults and seniors, who are Two Spirit, Lesbian, Gay, Bi/Pan, Trans, Queer or Questioning, Intersex, Agender + other orientation and gender identities (2SLGBQIA+). People outside that description are welcome when attending with a 2SLGBTQIA+ person. Children 12 & under must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. No experience required, beginners welcome. Program Overview Bring your voice for an afternoon of joy, unity & self-expression! Staff will provide the sound system and participants will co-create the song list. Program Leader Rhys Wilson (they/them) is a neurodivergent, disabled, genderfluid non-binary person. Music and movement are a sacred and healing part of their life as a sober person in recovery, especially in participation with fellow neurodivergent, disabled and/or genderqueer and non-conforming beings. Plan Ahead · Personal belongings can be brought inside the room. · Do not bring anything scented (body products, clothing with residue from scented laundry products) · Our space will have bright overhead lighting, plus natural lighting from large windows. Music will be played from a phone using WiFi and Bluetooth - Privacy curtains will be hung to block the view from the hallway through the glass walls of the room. The room does not have mirrors on the wall. · Second floor washrooms are binary with "gender diverse people welcome" signage, and a single-user washroom is available between the binary washrooms, · Second floor is accessed by stairs or elevator.
