Skate Lessons: Basic 7-12y

About this program

This basic level is appropriate for students that are new to skating. The emphasis is teaching basics that include: learning to stand and moving unassisted, stopping, gliding, and an introduction to backwards skating. A brief skill assessment will be done on the first day and then students will be organized into groups appropriate to their skill level to continue their learning. Rental Skates and helmets are available if needed are and included in lesson fee. All withdrawals need to be completed before the start of the second lesson. New registrations are accepted up to 24 hours before the 3rd lesson. Please Note: No Lessons on 30 September 2026 (Truth and Reconciliation Day) and 11 November 2026 (Remembrance Day)
