About this program

Power Skating Intermediate is for skaters ages 6–13 who have basic skating skills and are ready to improve their speed, power, balance and control. Skaters will work on strides, edges, stops, turns and other skating skills used in hockey. Skaters must be able to complete the following skills before registering (equivalent to Child 4): ⁠- Forward T-Pushes -Backward C-Pushes -Forward and Backwards Bubbles - Forward One Foot Glide -Forward Circle Thrust -Backward Single Sculling -Controlled/Informal Inside Edges -Hockey Stop -Backward Stop -Two-Foot Turn
