About this program

Youth 1 Entry level skating class for teens aged 13 to 18 years old. Youth 2 Students must be able to: Fall down and get up, unassisted Skate the width of the rink Backward skate/ step half the width of the rink Glide on two feet for 2 metres Touch ankles while gliding and return to standing Intro to double sculling Forward gliding on a curve Intro to stopping (scraping) Side stepping in a straight line Youth 3 Students must be able to: Forward skating alternating feet Backward skating the width of the rink Glide on one foot for 1 metre (left & right) Froward double sculling Introduction to backward double sculling Informal inside edges (left & right) Forward snowplow stop (any style) Hop on 2 feet on the spot & moving ***Skate rentals are available for purchase at an additional cost.***
