About this program

A fun, hands-on parent-child workshop where families make traditional Hong Kong-style mochi mooncakes (no-bake snow skin mooncakes) together. Designed for children ages 4–12 with parent or guardian participation, this 1.5-hour workshop introduces young hands to the joy of Mid-Autumn Festival traditions. Each pair shapes, colors, and decorates their own mochi mooncakes to take home in a gift box, plus a recipe cardto make them again as a family. No baking required — kids do the shaping with parents helping each step. Safe, easy, and full of cultural connection. Led by Abraham Wong, a Hong Kongborn, Vancouver-based chef featured by CBC Vancouver for traditional Mid-Autumn mooncake teaching
