View Recreation's Refund and Financial Assistance Policies. FUN!damentals of Summer, celebrates Community Stewardship and all the things that make summer awesome. Campers will team up throughout the week to create a Community Code of Kindness that will be published in the Bowen Island Undercurrent—an opportunity to share their ideas with the whole island! Along the way, they’ll jump into all kinds of creative projects, community adventures, teamwork challenges, and classic best of summer activities. From exploring local spaces to spreading kindness and celebrating what makes Bowen special, campers will build friendships, learn new skills, and help make their community an even brighter place. Our camps are predominantly outdoors, giving kids the chance to spend their days immersed in nature. Each week includes plenty of time swimming at the beach, exploring through unstructured forest play, and enjoying open-ended outdoor games. Campers also take part in safe, supervised off-trail adventures that encourage curiosity, confidence, and a deeper connection to the natural world. OFF & ON ISLAND TRIPS: Bowen Island Sea Kayaking Shorelines tour & Second Beach Pool DROPOFF: Community Centre at 9:00am. Early drop-offs are not permitted! Please inform us if your child will be dropped off late. Pick-up location will be confirmed day-off by camp staff. REMEMBER TO BRING: Lunch, easy to access snacks, water bottle, sunscreen, swimsuit, towel, lifejacket if needed (required for children ages 7 and under). Do not bring : money, toys from home, electronics.
