About this program

Beginners will become comfortable jumping into the water with and without a personal flotation device (PFD). Children will learn how to open their eyes, exhale and hold their breath underwater. Floats, glides and kicking skills are introduced. This Lifesaving Society's Swim for Life level is recommended for beginners who have never taken swimming lessons or swimmers who have completed any West Coast Preschool lessons. NOTE: Participants cannot be registered for more than one set of lessons at a time and must successfully complete the prerequisite level before registering for the next level. If less than 5 days notice is given, registration fees, less a 10% cancellation fee, will be refunded; registration fees are non-refundable once the program has started.
