About this program
The Alzheimer Society of Canada projects the number of Canadians living with dementia will reach close to one million by 2030 with currently more than 400 Canadians diagnosed with dementia every day. And while there are currently no treatments that can reverse cognitive decline brought on by dementia, there are approaches that can fight symptoms and maintain quality of life for as long as possible. Join T4C and Dr. Heather Cooke, Manager, Research & Knowledge Mobilization at the Alzheimer Society of B.C. whose presentation will focus on the differences between dementia and mild cognitive impairment, along with an update on the advances with regards to the diagnosis & treatment of dementia, particularly Alzheimer's disease.
