Traditional Mooncake Making Workshop

About this program

Celebrate Mid-Autumn Festival by making your own traditional Hong Kong-style mooncakes from scratch. In this hands-on workshop, participants learn the techniques behind the classic salted egg yolk and lotus seed paste mooncake — making the dough, shaping and filling, pressing with traditional wooden molds, and the final bake. Each participant takes home a box of finished mooncakes plus a recipe card to recreate them at home. Suitable for all skill levels — no baking experience required. Led by Abraham Wong, a Hong Kong-born, Vancouver-based chef featured by CBC Vancouver for his Mid-Autumn mooncake teaching.
