Training Volunteers: Adult Volunteer Orientation

Volunteer with the District of West Vancouver! Are you over 19 years of age and have a BC Medical Services Card with a Personal Health Number? If yes, you are welcome to register for our orientation at activewestvanrec.ca, or by calling 604-925-7270. Come and join experienced volunteer mentors plus staff who work with volunteers from around the District over tea, coffee and light refreshments as we cover many important topics including: our various volunteer opportunities, general eligibility requirements, volunteer policies and procedures, how to use our online volunteer portal, ongoing training opportunities, and more. Please note: Police Information Checks with Vulnerable Sector Check request letters are given at this orientation. Please do not apply for one before coming to the orientation as you will need the letter provided at orientation to apply for the Police Information Check. Once you have complete the orientation, and have submitted your required documents, you will be able to access opportunities and training via our volunteer portal. We look forward to having on board!
