Training Volunteers: Youth Volunteer Orientation

About this program

This course is mandatory for any youth interested in volunteering with Parks, Culture and Community Services. In this session, you’ll be introduced to the Parks, Culture and Community Services Volunteer Program. You’ll also have the opportunity to develop leadership skills through a series of interactive learning activities. Additionally, we’ll walk you through our volunteer software and show you how to sign up for various opportunities. If you're interested in volunteering in areas such as Day Camps, Ice Skating, Seniors Centre, Library, Museum, Ferry Building, Gymnastics, or other specialized programs, additional training will be required. A BC Services Card is required for the orientation session, so please bring it with you.
