This walking tour offers more than just food tastings at Crystal Mall. It connects Burnaby's agricultural roots with today's vibrant Asian food markets, showcasing how the city has evolved into one of Metro Vancouver's most diverse culinary destinations. You will explore the nearby local gems and Crystal Mall and you'll discover the stories, history, and communities that have shaped Centrals Burnaby. Led by a longtime Burnaby resident and community historian Larry Chin, you'll experience the places where locals eat, shop, socialize, and connect. Designed for small groups, the tour moves at a relaxed pace, allowing for personal interaction with your guide and a deeper understanding of Burnaby through its markets, hidden gems, and everyday neighbourhood life. The tour will start at just outside of Patterson Skytrain Station. Please arrive 5-10 minutes in advance. Note that this tour involves a moderate amount of walking. We recommend wearing comfortable walking shoes
