About this program

This class is a nurturing space for aspiring writers of any experience level to generate new ideas and get feedback from others. Each week, participants will receive a writing prompt, and have 15-25 minutes to write in a relaxed, casual environment. Participants will then have the opportunity to read their work aloud and receive some feedback! The group will use the Amherst Writers & Artists Method, a non-hierarchical workshop method that focuses on positive feedback and encourages creativity. (Don't panic if you've never heard of AWA; Our first class will include a thorough introduction!) Whether you are a seasoned writer, or are picking up a pen for the first time in ages, you are in the right place! Instructor: MacKenzie Sewell
